Sachems Volleyball

Our Program:

Our program is still relatively new, however, we have had a lot of success in the previous years. We continue to progress further and push our players more and more everyday. As of right now, for our girls' teams, we have a freshman team, a junior varsity team and a varsity team. For our boys' teams we have a junior varsity team and a varsity team. We offer clinics throughout the seasons, often involving the middle schoolers. We have been trying to start up more programs and clinics to offer to the younger kids an oppertuinity to start playing.

Winchester Recreation Registration

Through Win Rec, Coach John Fleming has given young players the chance to start playing extremely early and get ahead of the game. He has opened volleyball up to Winchester kids in grades 3-8, with two practices a week and playdays every spring. More info found at Youth Volleyball. Joining one the Winchester Vollleyball teams is a huge but worthwhile commitment, and this program can help develop the basic skills before tryouts freshman year.

About Us:

With the hard work from our players, coaches, parents and fans, Winchester volleyball is defined by our constant motivation, drive, passion, good sportsmanship and love for the game and for each other.

As a program, we were competing in the middlesex Liberty league. Our league all-stars were Victoria Hain, Alex Kew and two year recipient Lakshmi Ilango.

In 2015, we had a outstanding effort and our record showed it - finishing the season 16-6. For the first time ever, the girls took a set from Melrose during our annual Serve for the Cure game. We were blessed with having two League All-Stars, Amaliya Arnold and Helena Wiatrowski.

In 2016, the girl's varsity team had an outstanding record (22-3) and beat Melrose for the first time ever in torunament. Our league all-stars were Gabby Mckinley, Cristina Hain, Carlina Mckinley, and Katherine Scully. We were moved up to Division One at the beginning of the 2017 season.

In 2017, the Girls Varsity team played for the first time in Division One, and ended the season with a 19-3 record, also making it to the North Section State Semifinals.
